I study ice shelf dynamic responses to vibrations in the ice caused by gravity wave impacts, which include ocean swell, infragravity waves, and tsunami. These vibrations were recorded on the Ross Ice Shelf, Antarctica by an extensive array of seismometers over a 2-year time period (https://scripps.ucsd.edu/centers/iceshelfvibes/), and also recorded signals associated with surface winds and changes in surface layer properties associated with temperature variations. The seismic vibrations traveling across the RIS give information on ice shelf properties, and are associated with iceberg calving.
