Physical Oceanographer Peter Winsor and a team from the University of Alaska at Fairbanks try to reach an ice choked shoreline of Andvord Bay, but are forced to return to research vessel Nathaniel B. Palmer for fear of being trapped in the ice. The team has left a long term time lapse camera overlooking a glacier which feeds into Andvord Bay at Inner Basin B (check). The camera was installed in December, 2015. Taken during the FjordEco cruise taking place through May. The ongoing National Science Foundation-supported cruise including scientists from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, is examining the biological response to oceanographic and glaciological forces within an Antarctic fjord.
