Oceans and Atmosphere

My research focuses on Southern Ocean climate and dynamics. Research topics include wind-forcing of the Southern Ocean and heat transport via the Antarctic Circumpolar Current, biogeochemistry of the Southern Ocean, ice-ocean interactions, and air-sea fluxes at high latitudes. My work makes use of satellite observations, autonomous instruments, and numerical models.
